conditions:
• AC standby bus powered by transfer bus 1.
• DC standby bus powered by DC bus 1.
In flight and loss off all AC power:
• AC standby bus powered by battery bus via
static inverter.
• DC standby bus powered by battery bus.
• Fully charged battery will provide 30 min. of
standby power.
On the ground and loss off all AC power:
• No automatic transfer of power. AC and DC
standby busses are not powered.

GRD POWER AVAILABLE Light:
Illuminated –
• Active ground power cord is
connected to the aircraft.
• Does not indicate the quality of
the ground power source. To
determine quality, select GRD
PWR on the AC metering panel.
• Light remains illuminated as
long as an active ground power
cord is connected to the aircraft,
even if ground power is not
being utilized as a power
source.

OFF –
Disconnects ground power from both
generator busses.

ON –
If momentarily positioned to ON when
ground power is available:
• removes previously connected
power from the generator busses.
• connects ground power to
generator busses, if ground power
quality is correct.
• switches the ground service bus to
generator bus 1.
• deactivates the ground service
switch.

AC AMPS (AC Ammeter):
Indicates respective engine driven
generator load in amps.

BUS TRANSFER Switch:
AUTO (guarded position) –
Upon failure of one generator bus,
respective transfer bus seeks power from
active (opposite) generator bus.
OFF –
• Prevents transfer busses from seeking
opposite generator bus.
• Prevents battery charger from seeking
alternate power source (main bus 2).
• Opens TR3 disconnect relay.
NOTE: The important item to remember is
that whenever the BUS TRANSFER switch is
positioned to OFF, the electrical system is
now “split.” The left and right side of the
electrical system are now independent.
However, this will have not prevent the AC
and DC standby busses from seeking their
alternate power source (battery bus).
