Class Procedure Reminder

1. Greetings Adjust the time depending on your student's 30 sec. 1 min. 1 min.

(Whether they would only focus on textbooks or
textbooks with free talk)
2. Review Previous Unit 1 min. 2 mins. 2 mins.
1. Ask your student what they studied about.
2. Make your student speak using expressions from previous unit. (1 or 2 sentences)
* Ask your student about the expressions they can remember. * Follow the procedure on the left for Levels1-3.
* Give sample situations and ask your students about their own ideas/opinions. * Ask to summarize the previous unit for students
* Give sample expressions and ask your students to make their own sentences. under Levels 4-6.
3. Check the words that your student studied. (1 or 2 words)

* Ask your students some words that they can remember and let them explain the meaning.

3. Dialogue 2 mins. 3 mins. 5 mins.


1. Role-play with your student. Speech pacing should be according to your student's
comprehension level. * Repeat the dialogue by switching roles.
2. Listen carefully when your student speaks. (Recommended only for beginners)
3. Remember your student's mispronounced words. * Correct your student's mispronounce words
4. Repeat the words or sentences with your student. after the role-play.

* Correct the student's intonation when giving

student.

* Make your student complete the sentences using

For Levels 1 and 2 -Focus more on pronunciation,

2. Ask your student (once a week) if they have any class requests or suggestions. For Level 3 - Focus on accuracy and speaking skills
For Level 4 - Point out corrections related to use of
expressions

*With regards to giving corrections, do it during the class discussion or before the end of the class. (It depends upon your student's personality.)
* For a 15-minute class, please follow the 70/30 rule. (70% student and 30% teacher)

* For levels 5 and 6, there's no need to handle 'New words', 'Talking points','Comprehension check'.
Guide them in expressing their opinion base on the articles. (But it depends upon your student if they want to.)
