Pearl Park

In the urban area peripheral to the city of Nueva Loja, Cantón Lago Agrio, province of
Sucumbíos, is located the Ecological Recreational Park Lago Agrio- PERLA, which has been
rendering its services of recreation, conservation and tourism, since June 19, 2009 , which
has Lago Agrio Lagoon, offering an alternative for family recreation, where good practices of
sustainable tourism are respected, collecting endangered animals and generating sources
of employment.

LA LAGUNA (Lago Agrio), belongs to the plain of the Amazon valley and is a natural
depression of medium size, rectangular shape of 2,328m., Maximum length, maximum
transverse width of 244m., Approximate perimeter of 40ha, maximum depth of 25 , 6 m., And
average depth of 5m. Its surroundings allow us an escape to the tranquility and reflective
beauty offered by the boat tour. From the dock, the anxiety betrays the tourist and its impetus

natural attractions such as the charapitas, needle duck, garcilla, hoatzin, striking butterflies,

peoples of Sucumbíos, for which videos, photographs and natural setting are available,
bringing the visitor closer to the reality that is lived in the Amazon.

la biodiversidad de la zona.
