USER'S DESIGN SPECIFICATION

1. GENERAL
1.1 User is PTF, who will own and/or operate the Pressure Vessel Tank,

1.2 This specification, together with the related drawings, data sheets, codes and standards, constitutes
a complete "User's Design Specification" as required by Part 2, Paragraph 2.2, of the
ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII, Division 2.
1.3 Conflicts
1.3.1 If conflicts occur between the User's Design Specification and any other document, drawing, data
sheets, specification, code, or standard, it shall be the responsibility of the Pressure Vessel Manufacturer
to call attention to the discrepancy and request a written ruling or interpretation from the engineer
responsible for the User's Design Specification. The Manufacturer is not at liberty to assume which
institution shall govern.
1.3.2 All applications for exemptions, exceptions, or interpretations sha!l be made in writing and shall
clearly state the extent of and the reasons for the relief requested, Any proposed deviation from this
specification shall be submitted to the engineer responsible for this specification to obtain his written
approval and the Owner's concurrence, by a revision of this specification.
1.4 The related data sheets and drawings contain requirements in addition to the rules of the ASME Code,
Section VIII, Division 2. Brief supplementary requirements that affect the Manufacturer’s Design Report
are given in this User's Design Specification.
