Long strip method

Considerations
Strip may be up to 60m long or more
Strip may be up to 6m wide
Slab usually thicker than 150mm, Steel reinforcement may be provided
Concrete placed + compacted in 2 layers
Edge strip to be between (600mm – 1000mm)

- Divide slab into 4.7m strips (6 no.) + 2 edge strips adjacent to perimeter walls (0.9m each)
- Along each strip –introduce surface grooves (to induce joints) at intervals of …….. {ground
