Esther 2 So it came to pass, when the king's commandment and his decree was heard,
and when many maidens were gathered together unto Shushan the palace, to the custody of
Hegai, that Esther was brought also unto the king's house, to the custody of Hegai, keeper of
the women.

Leviticus 21:13-14 And he shall take a wife in her virginity.

Exodus 22:17 If her father utterly refuse to give her unto him, he shall pay money according to
the dowry of virgins.

Deuteronomy 22:15-28 And, lo, he hath given occasions of speech against her, saying, I found

Esther 4 When Mordecai perceived all that was done, Mordecai rent his clothes, and put
on sackcloth with ashes, and went out into the midst of the city, and cried with a loud and a
bitter cry;

Esther 7:1-4 Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in thy sight, O
king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my
request:

Ruth 2 Then she said, Let me find favour in thy sight, my lord; for that thou hast comforted me,
and for that thou hast spoken friendly unto thine handmaid, though I be not like unto one of thine
handmaidens.

Ruth 3 And he said, Blessed be thou of the Lord, my daughter: for thou hast shewed more
kindness in the latter end than at the beginning, inasmuch as thou followedst not young men,
whether poor or rich.

Ruth 4 And let thy house be like the house of Pharez, whom Tamar bare unto Judah, of the
seed which the Lord shall give thee of this young woman.

Proverbs 11:16-18 A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong men retain riches.

Esther 9:26-32 And that these days should be remembered and kept throughout every
generation, every family, every province, and every city; and that these days of Purim should
not fail from among the Jews, nor the memorial of them perish from their seed.
