SECTION 1: About Assessor and Administration Guides

Assessors are given these administration guides to help them run the exercises. By giving each
assessor (sometimes located in different countries, working for different companies etc.), the
exercises are as much as possible standardised so that every candidate experiences the same
exercise and is given the same instructions. For example if one assessor gives a more thorough
explanation, or elaborates on the exercise, or even places emphasis on different words, this will
distort the way different participants behave during the exercise. For this reason, the introduction
and ending of the exercises are often scripted.

These guides are also used by assessors to help plan exercises, make sure they have the correct
equipment and to foresee any administrative issues.
