Electrical safety tips

1. Never put fingers or other objects in an outlet. This is one of the biggest problems in
today’s homes. Children of all types of ages are very curious on what would happen if
they stick an object in a receptacle. It is our jobs as parents to child proof everything that
can harm them in their place of safety.

Don't climb on power poles. Birds can’t get electrocuted while sitting on power lines the reason
for that is because electricity flows along the path of least resistance. Birds don't get shocked
when they sit on electrical wires because they are not good conductors of electricity. Their cells
and tissues do not offer electrons an easier route than the copper wire they're already traveling
along.

7. Stay away from broken or fallen power lines.

8. Never touch or climb trees that are near power lines. Trees growing near power lines can
cause a fire, as well as an electrical, hazard to anyone in contact with the tree at ground
level. Trees don't have to physically touch an energized power line to be dangerous. ...
This electric current can kill anyone caught near the tree and can cause a fire.
