Portland Christian Center’s Monthly Magazine

Begins nightly at 5:30 PM, on Monday, Tuesday and

Wednesday. Then, on Thursday - Family Night the
activities and barbecue begin at 5:00 PM.

This is a Summer sports camp with age appropriate

events such as running, high jump, throwing and jav-
elin, games, snacks. Each participant will receive a
special T-shirt with their registration.

Registration Fee: $10 per child, or $30 per

family maximum. You can register online
via church web site, www.PCCToday.com.

Local churches are partnering with Luis Palau and city officials in
making an impact in our local communities. Join us in the upcoming
July Season of Service project on July 19th at the Union Gospel Mis-
sion. Invite a friend to join you in serving a quality meal to those in
need and in joining you at CityFest, August 22th and 23rd at Waterfront
Park. See Linda Eaton and Pastor Joel at the Cityfest display table in
the foyer every Sunday morning for more info.

CityFest Counselor Training

Each Wednesday in July
7:00 PM to 8:30 PM • Room 228
If you want to participate at CityFest as a counselor during the
invitation times, plan on attending ONE Counselor Training Ses-
sion. You must attend training and register with the Luis Palau
Association before August 1 in order to serve as a counselor.

Volunteers are needed to work in the Family Fun Fest Zone with chil-
dren as altar workers. Open to individuals 16 years and older. PCC
is partnering with the Luis Palau ministries to reach families in our city
with the gospel. All volunteers that work with kids must attend a train-
ing session. Contact Pastor St. John if you are interested.
We will cap off our Season of Service with this final project at Robert
Gray Middle school. Volunteers will assist in the annual clean-up
and beautification of the school grounds in preparation for the com-
ing school year. Invite a friend and donate a couple of hours of your
time in showing this school that PCC cares about them.

What: Play basketball, teach jump-rope, or
just sit and chat with a child. It’s a great time
to kick back with kids.
Where: PCC Gymnasium
Why: A chance for you to serve and allow our
yearly teachers to take a much needed break.
When: Wednesdays in July, 7:00 TO 8:30 PM.
How: Call the children’s ministry office and
get signed up. Just being available for one
night will make the difference.

Beth Moore’s “Stepping Up” Digging Deeper

This DVD-based series takes a look at the pilgrim-
age theme found in Psalms 120-134 and explores
the major feasts of Israel. For the ancient Israelites,
pilgrimage was a 3 times per year journey to the
temple in Jerusalem; for New Testament believers
all of life becomes a journey together toward the
new Jerusalem. Led by Pastor Joel Slater.
