US Airforce Top Secret Report Reveals UFO Activity

Aliens 'hit our nukes': They even landed at a Suffolk base, claim airmen
September 27, 2010 - It may sound like a Spielberg movie plot, but if
senior U.S. airmen are to be believed, this scenario is not science fiction.
They claim that since 1948, aliens have been hovering over UK and U.S.
nuclear missile sites and deactivating the weapons-- once even landing in
a British base.

Furthermore, they warn, our governments are hushing the activity up.

Captain Robert Salas, who, along with six others is to break his silence on
the subject, said: 'We're talking about unidentified flying objects, as simple
as that.

UN to appoint Earth contact for aliens

THE United Nations was set today to appoint an obscure Malaysian

astrophysicist to act as Earth's first contact for any aliens that may come
visiting.
Mazlan Othman, the head of the UN's little-known Office for Outer Space
Affairs (Unoosa), is to describe her potential new role next week at a
scientific conference at the Royal Society’s Kavli conference centre in
Buckinghamshire.

She is scheduled to tell delegates that the recent discovery of hundreds of

planets around other stars has made the detection of extraterrestrial life
more likely than ever before - and that means the UN must be ready to
coordinate humanity’s response to any “first contact”.

During a talk Othman gave recently to fellow scientists, she said: “The
continued search for extraterrestrial communication, by several entities,
sustains the hope that some day humankind will receive signals from
extraterrestrials.

Excerpts The [University of South Florida researchers] discovered plumes

of dispersed oil at the bottom of an undersea canyon about 40 miles off the
Florida Panhandle. It was found to be toxic to microscopic sea organisms,
causing mutations to their DNA. If this plankton at the base of the marine
food chain is contaminated, it could affect the whole ecosystem of the Gulf.
"I call these canaries in the coal mine as they are the first to feel the
effects," [University of South Florida researcher John Paul who is included
in a documentary debuting Tuesday night in the National Geographic
Channel] says. ... "The problem with mutant DNA is that it can be passed
on and we don't how this will affect fish or other marine life," he says,
adding that the effects could last for decades.

US commission told 50 percent of oil spill remains in

Gulf

WASHINGTON — More than half the oil released from a busted BP well
remains in the Gulf of Mexico, a presidential panel was told Monday, as
the US pointman lamented a "dysfunctional" response to the disaster.

Interior Secretary Ken Salazar meanwhile told the bipartisan commission

that the spill had bolstered a drive to reform federal regulations for offshore
drilling, promising that lessons were learnt.

In an ominous sign for Gulf residents, however, oceanographer Ian

MacDonald told the probe that while much of the oil was dispersed,
evaporated or removed by burning and skimming, the "remaining fraction --
over 50 percent of the total discharge -- is a highly durable material that
resists further dissipation."

His assessment implied some 2.5 million barrels of oil -- or 105 million
gallons -- was still embedded in the fragile ecosystem, out of the estimated
4.9 million barrels that gushed into the Gulf during the 87 days before the
well was capped.

"Much of it is now buried in marine and coastal sediments," MacDonald

warned, adding there was "scant evidence for bacterial degradation of this
material prior to burial."

Downtown Los Angeles bakes at record 113 degrees

LOS ANGELES — A blistering fall heat wave sent temperatures to an all-

time record high of 113 degrees in downtown Los Angeles on Monday and
roasted even coastal cities in triple digits.

The city of Los Angeles opened cooling centers for citizens while
firefighters were on alert for wildfires, but there was little wind amid the
onslaught of dry heat.

Downtown hit 113 degrees for a few minutes at about 12:15 p.m., breaking
the old all-time record of 112 degrees set on June 26, 1990, said Stuart
Seto, a weather specialist at the National Weather Service office in
Oxnard. Temperature records for downtown date to 1877.

It was not clear whether 113 would remain the day's high. Temperatures
continued to fluctuate around 112 later in the afternoon, Seto said. The old
record high for a Sept. 27 was 106 degrees.

How to Biblically Confront False Teaching in Your

Vatican Bank Investigated For Money Laundering

Italian police seize $30M from Vatican in probe

VATICAN CITY – Italian authorities seized euro23 million ($30 million)

from a Vatican bank account Tuesday and said they have begun
investigating top officials of the Vatican bank in connection with a money-
laundering probe.

The Vatican said it was "perplexed and surprised" by the investigation.

Italian financial police seized the money as a precaution and prosecutors

placed the Vatican bank's chairman and director general under
investigation for alleged mistakes linked to violations of Italy's anti-
laundering laws, news reports said.

The investigation is not the first trouble for the bank — formally known as
the Institute for Works of Religion. In the 1980s, it was involved in a major
scandal that resulted in a banker, dubbed "God's Banker" because of his
close ties to the Vatican, being found hanging from Blackfriars Bridge in
London.
The Vatican expressed full trust in the chairman of the bank, Ettore Gotti
Tedeschi, and his director-general, identified by the Vatican directory as
Paolo Cipriani. It said the bank had been working for some time to make its
finances more transparent to comply with anti-terrorism and anti-money-
laundering regulations.

"The Holy see is perplexed and surprised by the initiatives of the Rome
prosecutors, considering the data necessary is already available at the
Bank of Italy," it said in a statement.

Louisiana fish deaths raise oil spill questions
From The BBC:

The dead fish found at Bayou Chaland in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana,

include pogies, redfish, drum, crabs, shrimp and freshwater eel, officials
say

Officials in Louisiana's Plaquemines Parish have called for an investigation

after finding hundreds of thousands of dead fish near the Mississippi River.

The Plaquemines Parish Inland Waterways Strike Force claims oil was
spotted in pictures of the dead fish.

The group is now attempting to find if the BP oil spill was connected to the
incident, known as a "fish kill".

The cause of the fish kill has not been determined, but such events
typically happen due to depleted oxygen levels.
