Title Journal Writing as a Tool to Evaluate the Implementation of Practical
Research I: Basis for Improvement in Learning Delivery Problem Situation Research is a subject that the students find very difficult. This is not without basis, however. As a researcher myself, conducting research work is a daunting task. It requires time, effort, and appropriate skills to finish a research project. As research teacher for the past three years, I made necessary revisions in the way I deliver the subject. These revisions were based on the year-end feedback of the students. But, I have observed that there are problems that the students faced during the conduct of their research work. I was not able to address this because I lack a feedback mechanism that will let me acknowledge the challenges and problems of the students during the conduct of their research work.
This present study aims to evaluate the delivery of the Practical
Research I course through journal writing. This is an alternative assessment tool that will serve as a learning log for the students. This provides the students a space to write the challenges and problems that they have faced as well as their learnings and reflections. These information will serve as a basis on how to improve the learning delivery of Practical Research I. Research 1. To assess the teaching of Practical Research I through journal Questions/Research writing; Objectives 2. To create an improvement plan in teaching Practical Research I.
