Daily Promises of God

for educators 2nd Corinthians 12:9

NIV - But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in
weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s
power may rest on me.

RSV - But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in
weakness.” I will all the more gladly boast of my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may
rest upon me.

KJV - And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in
weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ
may rest upon me.

LB - Each time he said, “No. But I am with you; that is all you need. My power shows up best
in weak people.” Now I am glad to boast about how weak I am; I am glad to be a living
demonstration of Christ’s power, instead of showing off my own power and abilities.

Note to the educator

It’s hard to admit to weakness, yet as a Christian educator we know that Christ works best
Y

when we are weak because He is strong. What are your weak spots this year? What has you
most frustrated? What are the toughest things to tackle? Find a trusted Christian colleague
that you can talk to about this because when we confess our sins, He is right and just to forgive
us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If you are uncomfortable confessing to a colleague,
A

confess to Him because His grace is sufficient for all your trials.

1:16 PM prayer
D

Please pray for the student who talks too much.

Quote for the day

Small kindnesses, small courtesies, small considerations, give a greater charm to the character
than the display of great talents and accomplishments. Mary Ann Kelty
