The once bright sky turned dull and dark.

Soon, a rain of cats and dogs will befall this glorious city. I was
already feeling down in the dumps and the pouring rain did nothing to help. Today was the day, judgement
day. It tickled me pink as I waited until the cows came home. I walked down the paved road, and saw a
ring almost dropping into the depths of the drainage holes that line the street. At the drop of a hat, I
grasped the little jewelry in my hand, giving it back to the owner.

When I reached the university, I went in, seeing foreigners bustling about, the school’s fees cost an arm
and a leg but if I claim a scholarship, it wouldn’t be such a burden. The foreigner’s words work Greek to
me, so I stated, “A penny for your thoughts.” I met the principal and tried to keep my chin up despite
having cold feet.

“You were close but no cigar.” My face fell and I suddenly felt under the weather. The once colorful world
turning monochrome right in front of my eyes. “The ball is in your court, you may try again if you wish.”
As I left the prestigious building, I heard some whisper that only when pigs fly will I be able to get in
successfully. They said I was just biting off more than I could chew, well I guess it’s back to the drawing
board for me.
