AEMA Passing-out-Parade of GME Batch 23

The passing-out-parade of Graduate Marine Engineers Batch 23 was organized at Anglo -Eastern
Maritime Academy. The function was graced by the presence of Chief Guest Mr. Girish Sreeraman
(Country Area Manager DNV GL, India) and Guests of Honour Mr. Karthik Nithyanandam (Head
of PrimeServ Diesel India & MD of MAN Diesel & Turbo Lanka Pvt. Ltd.) and Mr. Homiar S
Poonawala (Fleet Director Technical, AESM). Mr Francis Akkara (Vice Principal & Assistant
Director, AEMTC) also attended along with other senior mana gers from Anglo Eastern Group.

The guests were welcomed with the academy band and Guard of Honour by the cadets. The chief
guests were taken through the Academic block and showed them various projects which gave them
a glimpse of the training imparted in the academy.

The main function was in the Auditorium, where Parents, Cadets, Faculty members and st aff
gathered and exuded an atmosphere of Pride, Happiness and Joy. Cadet Abhishek Vashisth hosted
the entire event ably supported by his fellow cadets.

The function began by welcoming the chief guests and the Guest of Honours, followed by
presentation of an elaborate course report by Vice-Principal Mr. Mahesh Subramanian. Thereafter,
a cultural show was put up by the cadets. Chief Guest Mr. Girish Sreeraman with Guest of honours
Mr. Karthik Nithyanandam and Mr. Homiar S Poonawala presented short and crisp speeches which
motivated the cadets to become good officers on -board the ship.

Prize distribution ceremony was conducted, where the cadets of GME23 batch were appreciated
for their academic, work shop and other skills. The event concluded with a group pho tograph
followed by the Vote of thanks by Cadet Piyush Sharma.
