VI. Highlights

The Inset was started at 9:00 a.m with a simple prayer followed by the singing of the
national anthem and an energizer. Mrs. Lucena M. Aquino, as the president and OIC of the
school gave the opening remarks and Mrs. Catherine Balagtas presented the speaker.

On the third day of the INSET, Mr. ARIEL GARCIA, the PSDS of the Division of City of
San Fernando inspired the teachers with his topic about 21 st Century Skills Enhancement.
He tackled the history of technology in education, K to 12 learners and their characteristics,
and qualities of a teacher. He also discussed some important concerns on how to deal with
students with different attitudes. He refreshed the minds of teachers about the important
strategies, techniques and materials that can be used in teaching the millennial learners. He
also showed video clips about the importance of education as well as the good
characteristic that every teacher must have.

The 3rd day of INSET ended with the commitment of each teacher to pursue a better
education for the learners of AECMIS. Indeed the SEMESTRAL BREAK has been fruitful
and productive.
