Seismic Behavior of Cable Stayed Bridge Model with and without

Earthquake Resistant Structures.

Abstract
A cable-stayed bridge has one or more towers (or pylons), from which
cables support the bridge deck. A distinctive feature are the cables or stays, which run directly
from the tower to the deck, normally forming a fan-like pattern or a series of parallel lines.
The Cable Stayed Bridge will be made of Wooden Sticks. It will have 2 piers and spanning
full length in between 2 piers and half span on both sides of piers. There will be two models
with and without Earthquake Resistant structures. It will be subjected to seismic attack using
Shake table of dimension 1m x 1m. The model will be scaled and adjusted to dimension of
Shake Table. The base will be modelled as pile foundation. Base isolation, Elastomeric rubber
pads like techniques will be used for the model.
