ASSESSMENT CONDITIONS
Assessment will be completed in class and in your self-study time. You will be able to access any relevant resources
through the online learning system at http://abs.qld.edu.au/resources. You must keep a copy of your assignment or
project.

You will be allowed two attempts on this assessment. That is, if your first attempt does not meet the performance
criteria, you will be given the opportunity to resubmit once only. If you require a second attempt, this must be
submitted within the duration of your course.

Overview and Tasks

Overview
During this assignment, you will take on the role of a project manager at a web design company. Your client has
commissioned you to build and deliver a Wordpress (wordpress.org) website and provide training materials to help
their staff their update it.

Your client will be a fictional company named ‘ABS Music News’; a small but growing company based in Brisbane,
Australia. They have stated that they require the following:
 A well planned, dynamic and modern looking website
 Online content (text and images) must be easily updated by their team
 The website has different levels of user access (administrator, contributor, visitor)
 No restriction to the amount of pages or posts
 An area (sidebar) for advertisements that change regularly
 A Search bar
 Home page of featured/latest news and articles
 Image gallery
 A banner of featured content / promo images that rotates it’s content
 Training materials to accompany the delivered website
