Las fuentes antropógenas permiten aún ser subdivididas con arreglo a la forma y al
contenido.
Desde el punto de vista de la forma, podemos diferenciar fuentes escritas y fuentes
materiales. A las fuentes escritas pertenecen todos los testimonios conservados sobre el
papel, en edificios o en piedras: forman parte de las fuentes materiales todos los vestigios
materiales del pasado: dibujos y fotos, planos y mapas, edificios, poblados y caminos,
indicios de delimitaciones de campos, así como hallazgos arqueológicos.
