“Factors Affecting the Students’

Performances in School”

All of us have a lot of dreams and goals in life. A lot of people asked “Is it really hard to be
successful?” Definitely yes, it is because it takes a lot of patience. I know that all of us wants to be successful
someday. Always be in mind that success doesn’t just come and find you, you have to go out and get it like
dream. A dream doesn’t become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work. A lot
of people said that “Dream big and Work hard”. It means that dreams are often the driving force behind
our biggest efforts in life. It doesn’t matter how big or small your dreams are, what’s important is that you
believe in them enough to work hard to achieve them. My parents always taught me that you have to study
first so that you’ll be able to pursue all your dreams in life. Probably studying is so tiring. Studying or going
to school everyday is not that easy because you have a lot of things to do such as homeworks, projects,
outputs, written works, studying for exams or even performance tasks. Assuredly, I always wanted to have
good performances in school. However, there are some various factors that may negatively affect students’
performances. Factors such as missing too many lessons or lectures, students behavior and also
socioeconomically disadvantaged students.

First, missing too many lessons or lectures refers to students that seemed to be unfocused on
his/her studies. This may lead him/her to make absences in school that can certainly affect that he/she
cannot be easily cope with his/her lectures in school. Second, students behavior which plays a major role in
the academic performances. It comprises learning environment for other students. Mostly these days
students behavior were already been rated by teachers .According to Glenn C. Stewart “Values reflect what
is important to the way you live and work. In these situation we should learn how to value or discipline our
self. We should sustain our manners or even how we deal with others. Lastly, is the socioeconomically
disadvantages students, this may also affect to the students’ performances in school because
socioeconomically disadvantaged students predicted to have poorer educational attainment. In these
various factors I learned that we should always be virtuous and attain competent performances in school.
Moreover we students should be more focus in our studies especially in school activities and performances.
To my fellow students I do believe that everything you do now is for your future so always remember focus
on studying I know it’s hard but it’s going to be worth it.
