Unit topic: Philippine Environment

Content Standard: The learners demonstrate an understanding of the relation of geographical

location of the Philippines to its environment.

Performance Standard: The learners shall be able to analyze the advantage of the location of
the Philippines in relation to the climate, weather and seasons.

Learning Competencies:

1. Demonstrate how places on earth may be located using coordinate system.

2. Describe the location with respect to the continents and oceans of the world.
3. Recognize that soil, water, rocks, coal and other fossil fuels are Earth materials that
people use as resources.
4. Describe ways of using Earth’s resources sustainably.

Transfer Goal: Student on their own will be able to show the advantage of the location of the
Philippines in relation to the climate, weather and season through the use of multimedia to
protect and conserve our natural resources.

Essential Question(s): How can the geographical locations of the Philippines affects the
protection and conservation of our natural resources.

Enduring Understanding: The geographical location of the Philippines is important to the

protection and conservation of our natural resources.

STAGES ACTIVITIES
EXPLORE PRE-TEST (NG)
Students will choose the letter that you think best answers the
questions. After checking the short test, they will see their score. Take
note of the items that you were able to correctly answer and look for
the right answer.

FIRM UP PICTURE ANALYSIS

1. The students will take a look at the picture and describe.
2. For another picture, give the similarities and differences of the
first and second photo.
3. In the process of analyzing and describing the photo, thought of
the words conservation, protection and sustainability.
DEEP EN ACTIVITY REPORT
 The grade of this section is to take a closer look on the concepts
of conservation and protection of the location.
 Give the realization of the topic. (Which old ideas having
confirmed/ affirmed about the ways of conservation and
protection of the environment.)
TRANSFER JOURNAL MAKING
In this activity, it publishes essays and articles that utilize concept of
conserving and protecting environment ; how they contribute to the
stability of the environment.
