CONVENTION OF GEODETIC ENGINEERS

The Geodetic Engineers of the Philippines, Inc., as the accredited and recognized national organization of Geodetic
Engineers by the Professional Regulation Commission, will be holding its 39th Annual National Directorate Meeting
and Convention on May 31 to June 2, 2013 at the Grand Men Seng Hotel, Magallanes St., Davao City.

This year’s theme, “Steering the Geodetic Engineering Profession Towards Global Competitiveness” was adopted to
highlight the efforts of the Professional Regulation Commission, and the national government in general, in making
the geodetic engineering profession at par with global standards. Thus, topics in the technical sessions include the
following: The Philippine Geoportal Project, Impact of Plate Motion on PRS ’92 on Cadastral Surveys, Occupational
Safety and Health for Geodetic Engineers and P-eTD of the LARES project of the Land Registration Authority.

Opening ceremonies with keynote speaker, the Honorable DENR Secretary Ramon Jesus P. Paje, plenary session ,
election, fellowship, awards and citations, educational tour and closing ceremonies are among the other features of
the convention.

Participation to this annual directorate meeting & convention is one of the activities under the Continuing
Professional Education (CPE) program. It is likewise one of the requirements, but not limited to, in the issuance of
certificates of good standing for Geodetic Engineers.

In line with this activity, we respectfully ask for your whole hearted support as we cordially invite all geodetic
engineers in your respective offices to attend the said annual national directorate meeting and convention.

Registration fee for live-in delegates is Seven Thousand Five Hundred Pesos (Php 7,500.00) which must be deposited
on or before April 30, 2013 to the account of the Geodetic Engineers of the Phil. Inc., Savings Acct. No. 1870067876,

Registration fee for live-out delegates is Six Thousand Five Hundred Pesos (Php 6,500.00).
