Whatever the actual God-created true system is, the users of the incorrect system
are then fabricating their experience of astrology. Anyone ever wonder this? For
example, you could have Sun in Leo in the 5th house in Western but Sun in Cancer in
the 4th house in Sidereal. Those are two very different placements. If you believe
in Western, you might go through your whole life finding evidence supporting your
initial belief that you're a Leo in the 5th house. But it would be awkward if
Sidereal is actually the true system, and it turns out you fabricated it all.
Another example is Aries season. All the Western people are saying "happy Aries
season!" and telling stories of how the Aries energy is affecting them. But
meanwhile in Sidereal astrology it's Pisces season. So they're all telling stories
of how the Pisces energy is affecting them. Whether Western or Sidereal are true,
whichever side is incorrect is just finding evidence to support what they believe
to be true. If you believe it's Aries season, your brain might find all the
evidence to support that. If you believe it's Pisces season, it's the same story.
It's so...unscientific. The only thing that is 100% certain regardless of system
are aspects.
Also, my understanding has always been that Vedic astrology- as far as i know the
strongest branch that uses sidereal- approaches interpretation differently than
western. That said, i know practically nothing about Vedic astrology, so i always
wonder how that factors in. Are the signs considered in the same way as they are in
western astrology?
Whatever the actual God-created true system is, the users of the incorrect system
are then fabricating their experience of astrology.
You don't need to look to Western vs sidereal for this kind of discrepancy - just
look at competing house systems. Let's say I use Whole Sign houses while you swear
by Placidus. We can reach very different conclusions on the same data. Same with
modern vs traditional. There are so many different branches and flavors, of course
there will be contradictions.
I think it's more that we're all skirting the edges of a truth and finding ways to
elicit it, but no one really has the whole picture. There are just too many
variables. It's like the weather - we use different models to make a forecast, and
they converge in some areas. And sometimes one model is more accurate than another,
but since we don't have the whole equation figured out and can't account for
everything that's in play, no model can you tell you everything with perfect
precision, yet.
It's so...unscientific.
When has meaning ever been scientific? The things that give our lives meaning don't
usually fall into the repeatable, testable, controllable boxes that science relies
on.
Actually, no. KRS has a video wherein he explains that if he had two students - one
studied Western astrology and one studied Vedic - and he asked them to describe
what would happen on a certain day in 20 years, both would be right.
it's 50% until you can figure out what someone's Ascendant is just by looking at a
photo of them
