Improve low-functioning work processes or relationships. As an Engineer

with a PGDM degree it is very crucial to maintain a balance of technical
work with assigned balance to complete a Project. Effective
communicators are valued by employers because they can be trusted to
give presentations, lead groups and act as a company spokesperson and

EXPECTATION FROM NDIM

Increase professional knowledge and training.
As the world is progressing at an extremely fast pace, most sectors are
constantly being updated and to matchup that level one must keeping
updating with their professional skills with certain education. An
opportunity to be trained in new software, developing new skills and
invest in emerging theories that can help put me ahead of any
competition. A Knowledge and a hands on Experience in Engineering
Field complimented with a professional degree in the field of
Management will certainly enhance my skills as well as increase my
flexibility in work.
2. Identify your strengths and present evidence of the
same by giving real life examples.
I’ve always considered my work ethics very strong. I am committed to
perform under heavy pressure and whatever it takes to meet the
deadlines. As part of a multi million euro project I was working with a
customer who had my team on a strict deadline. For reasons beyond
my control, there was some confusion in the delivery of some parts of
the machinery, which didn’t get to our workstation until late on the
afternoon before the deadline. Rather than go home, I volunteered to
stay late and finish everything, ensuring that the deadline was met, and
that the work was of a very good standard.
3. Describe the conflicts you have faced in the past. How
did you overcome the conflict?
Whenever I had differences of opinion with previous managers, the
disagreements were not significant, but some had to be confronted
and resolved. Therefore, I discussed the matter with my manager that I
disagreed upon, and then to consider my point of view if it is right. In
this way, we are able to take into account of each other's perspective
and come to an agreeable solution. When a solution could not be
reached, I accepted my manager's decision. Regardless of individual
perspectives, managers are experienced and they are responsible for
setting up of policies, and subordinates are responsible for executing it.
4. What motivates you?
I'm really driven by results. I like it when I have a concrete goal to
meet, and enough time to figure out a strong strategy for
accomplishing it with perfection and safety. At my last job, our
yearly goals were very high, but I worked with my manager and the
rest of my work team to figure out a month-wise strategy for
meeting the projects. It was a real thrill to accomplish that.
Whenever there was a crisis in production plans, we quickly switch
over to other plans that can be carried out with ease and later on
when the situation becomes stable then switch over to the main
strategy.

5. Why PGDM?
MBA gives you the confidence to innovate and experiment with a wider
perspective. A management degree polishes one's managerial skills
making them to work towards the goal of the application with greater
productivity and lesser cost. The course makes one acquainted with all
the aspects of running a company. It grooms the person to serve the best
to oneself – only then can he be an asset to an organization. It is
significant that engineers widen their knowledge and skills in the
management area if they wish to become senior managers or executives
in an organization. Having already obtained a technical degree, an MBA
expands the horizon to the wider areas of management. The role of the
engineer is changing rapidly with a fast forward development in industrial
organizations in terms of technology and management processes.
The engineer is likely to be the manager that has to implement new
practices and new technology.
