According to the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), in the 2017-2018 school year Vinewood School had a total of five hundred sixty-six students. Vinewood school is
a kindergarten through sixth grade elementary school, and forty-one percent of the students received free or reduced lunch. Vinewood is not a Title I school, however it receives
support from its parent club. According to the School Accountability Report Card (SARC), fifty-two percent of the students meet or exceed the state standard for English
Language Arts, and fifty percent of the students meet or exceed the state standards for math. Since Vinewood is not a Title I school it does not receive additional funding support
for the students, the teachers are lacking access to technology that can be shared with the students. For instance, there is no use of a smart board for instruction, one teacher at
each grade level has access to a promethean board. This will have an effect on the teacher’s ability to use technology for instruction in the classroom. The students do have
access to a Chromebook each day in the class.
