AMIT BAJAJ

It is difficult to introduce oneself because we know ourselves so well that we do

not know where exactly to start from.

I never thought I will grow and make a mark as a mathematics teacher! I was very

passionate about music. I once loved playing tabla and hence, I always wanted to

pursue my career in music. But after having so many wonderful years with math’s

I must confess today that I was actually destined to be a math’s teacher by

profession and a math’s lover at heart.

Presently, I am working as the Head of Mathematics department in CRPF Public

School, Rohini. I am teaching and learning mathematics for past seventeen years.

My objective is to bring my enthusiasm and interactive teaching style to my math

classroom. I am in a full-time teaching focused on making mathematics

understandable, applicable, and enjoyable to the students.

Mathematics has been my passion ever since I started appreciating its beauty.

I love solving challenging mathematical problems and puzzles. One can find a

large number of mathematics non-syllabus books by Indian and foreign authors in

my bookshelf. I love to read whenever I have some leisure time in hands. Also, I

have written Mathematics practice books for classes IX and X.

I am a techno savvy and enjoy working on computer and internet. I maintain my

own blog “ www.amitbajajmaths.blogspot.in “ as well as my school's blog

“www.crpfpsrohini.blogspot.in “ with a team of students with a motto “Sharing is

caring". I tried and hence brought technology to my classroom. Without any

infrastructural help, I managed to bring my students to the realm of E-education.

All the question papers, ideal answer sheets, extra assignments and other

mathematical tools are posted on my blog on a regular basis and students have

been coming up with various other ways of e-learning!

I enjoy teaching in school as I always get a chance to feel young and energetic with

the kids. I like to keep myself updated with the latest trends and information in

mathematics teaching and emerging technology.

I modestly admit that I love to work. It's like what someone said filling up

"interstices ", i.e. the free spaces in time. Sometimes, I do get too much engrossed

with my work and assignments but then I’m a happy workaholic!

For me, in each task that must be done, there is an opportunity. I see the task not as

a burden, but as an encouragement to be fully vibrant and effective. In my opinion,

Education is a life-long learning process and I believe there is no age bar to learn

new things. There is stagnation when one stops learning; this thought always

makes me work harder with sincerity and dedication.

Presently, my pay cheque may not be as much as many of my friends, but I have

the most important thing – self satisfaction. I am shaping small children's life,

character and future. And when some students visit back and talk of their success

and tell about the high profile jobs, I consider myself blessed and proud.

Vertical growth gives new dimensions and vision to move ahead. And so I dream

to be at a position from where I can materialize my views and ideas of a futuristic

school. Experience teaches us to grow, to modify and to build. I dream of a school

with a difference. A school where each and every domain of learning is

appreciated, where curriculum reflects the need of the students, where teacher is an

innovator with a belief in child centered learning , where each teacher nurtures a

deep love for life. I want my students to build a career than look for a job. I see all

my students constantly inventing and discovering things at each step of their

learning.

Its lack of faith that makes people afraid of meeting challenges, and I believed in

myself.
