Information for the teacher:

When: March !"st

Celebration: In the South Hemisphere, fall starts on March !"st and there are some changes in the
climate and nature that can affect men’s way of life in some way.

Procedure:

• Start a conversation with students about the seasons of the year and how everything changes
around them.

• Ask students if they know the names of the seasons and the characteristics of the weather of
each one.

• Hand out the worksheets.

• In the first exercise they have to observe each picture and relate them to their personal
experiences and describe what they see. After that, they should name the seasons related to the
pictures.

• Have students describe what the weather is like at that moment.

• Allow some time for them to share what they’ve observed and then draw their attention to how
the temperature is lower, the leaves fall from the trees and people have to wear warmer clothes.

• Tell them they need to complete a drawing about fall with everything they observed.

• After they have finished, ask them to share their work with the group. Display their work around
the classroom.
