ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

International Arbitration is a growing field of Law, which is developing at an expeditious pace

with lots of advancements creating a new field of practice in law. It brings a new way to resolve

disputes and thus has great impact on unfolding of law and dealings of matters. Indore

Institute of Law is organizing its 1st International Conference on Alternative Dispute

Resolution: “Towards a road less travelled”

The Institution perceives strongly that ADR is the way ahead for the legal fraternity and seeks

to have a constructive dialogue regarding the same, open to both students and professionals,

the conference would witness research papers submission and presentation on ADR from

students, academicians, industry experts and others.

The conference is moderated and designed to facilitate an intellectual dialogue in the form of

deliberation between participants and practitioners in the field of domestic and international

Arbitration and Mediation practices through an exchange of their experiences and thoughts on

various topics.
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

The conference aims to promulgate the scope of Alternative Dispute Resolution and discuss

the issues involved and provide alternatives and solutions keeping in mind international best

practices.

This conference is aimed at students, young arbitration practitioners and academicians. The

objective of the conference is to address these multidimensional facets of Alternative Dispute

Resolution at the National and International level.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Indore Institute of Law, Indore invites contributions for the upcoming International

Conference on Alternative Dispute Resolution: multidimensional facets of dispute resolution

“Towards a road less travelled”. Quality research papers, including field studies from scholars,

researchers, bar & bench, academicians, members of civil society, and students are invited.

Research papers, for inclusion in the proceedings, shall be subject to the approval by peer

review board. All research papers shall be subject to the scrutiny of anti-plagiarism software.

DEADLINE

The last date of submission for consideration is 10th May, 2019.

NATURE OF SUBMISSION

Articles (3000-4000 words)

Notes including Policy Notes (2000-2500 words)

Book Reviews (1500-2000 words)


Please note: Book Review should specify all relevant information relating to the book reviewed

such as the names of the authors and editor, year and edition of the book, details of publisher.

Case Notes (2000-2500 words)

Legislative Comments (1500 – 2000 words)

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Ø All submissions must be made in soft copy to the aforementioned mail ID (email-ID) on or

before the last date of submission. All submissions must be made in M.S. word. The body of

the e-mail must contain details of the Author and the title of the paper.

Ø The language of the paper, the working language of the conference and the presentations shall

be done in English only.

Ø The abstract must contain the highlights of the full paper and should not exceed 300 words

along with minimum of five keywords. The soft copy of abstract shall be submitted along with a

cover page.

Ø Author(s) Name(s), University/ Organization, paper title, email address and mobile number, to

be stated clearly on the cover page of the paper.

Ø Co-authorship is permitted, subject to a limit of maximum two authors per submission.

Ø In case of co-authorship at least one author must attend the conference to present the paper.
REGISTRATION FEES

Ø Student Participants : ₹ 800/-

Ø Academicians: ₹ 1000/-

Ø Accommodation Charges: ₹ 2000/-
