Collaboration!
Mission Statement: Northern Light Lab will prepare students to be effective Medical
Technologists by creating an online collaborative, cumulative and dynamic learning
platform. This platform requires the application of 4C skill sets and allows for the sharing
and spaced practice of learned material.

Overview & Purpose

Each student will enter into their respective rotation section. At the end of each section
rotation the student will be responsible for creating a PPT, infographic, case study,
analogy, song, research paper or any other project of their choosing. Once this project is
created then the student is required to present their findings via ScreenCast, YouTube,
Prezi, AdobeSpark or other audio/visual platform. The student then must post the final
product to BlackBoard. Our BlackBoard sections will be Blood Bank, Chemistry,
Toxicology, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Phlebotomy, and
Microbiology&Molecular Biology, for a total of 8 sections. After you finish a rotation in a
section you must post your product to that Discussion Board. You audio/visual end-
product must be under 3 minutes long.

rotation
3. To have students synthesize expansive material into manageable bite-size

BlackBoard Participation
After you have posted your project to that section rotation, please respond to EACH of
your colleagues projects for each section. This mean that you must post 8 projects and
