Rationale

The University and College of Education’s ultimate goal is to thrive for excellence in producing the finest of
teachers. In span four years, students are shaped into teachers; pedagogically prepared to face the challenging world of
teaching. It is when someone is challenged, that one grows sturdier. The promising years passed, and the process has not
been easy for anyone. Once again, the college outdone itself, paved away for the first step of excellence, producing the
graduates of the academic year 2018-2019.

Success is sweetest when it is shared. There is no more memorable way to celebrate everyone’s success than
having a graduation ball. The CoEd’s graduation ball is annually held to look back and celebrate the four year milestone
of the graduating students of the college. In line with this, the College of Education Graduating Officers will be having the
Graduation Ball 2019, with the theme: A Night to Remember; Tonight We Toast, Tomorrow We Teach. Every line of
obstacle is intended to end with a finish line, a medal or an award and little pop of confetti or fireworks. It is that the
graduating students of the college victoriously finished the first lap of the race of becoming a teacher, preparatory for the
second lap which is the licensure examination. And it is just fitting to celebrate this success of the whole college, also as
preparation for the bigger celebration of the momentous step of the university and of the college; which is to produce this
year’s highly-qualified licensed teachers.

This program will be of great acknowledgement to the faculty who worked hardly, professing the graduating
students superbly. More importantly, in this celebration, utmost recognition will be celebrated by and for the graduating
students foremost for their undying dedication and unrelenting pursuit of learning throughout their undergraduate. Further,
is to appreciate their feisty zeal to become part of the labour force that significantly builds the nation, the educators. And
lastly, this program will also reflect the deep debt of gratitude of the graduating students for the university and the college
that helped them to meet their personal and professional goals.

Objective(s)

The following are the objectives of the activity:

 Celebrate College of Education’s another successful year of completion of the course BSE of respective
specializations.
 Recognize the CoEd’s students’ dedication and unending motivation to learn.
 Acknowledge CoEd’s faculty for their great contributions for the possibility of commencement.

Basis of the Proposal

The College of Education, faculty and more importantly today the graduating students, for four years they both had been
so dedicated in teaching, learning and learning to teach. Through hard works pays sweet sweat. It is when someone works
hard, that one is rewarded. To have this celebration of commencement will prize the students even more for their graft in
pursuing highly commendable effort for learning.

Expected Outcome

The participants are expected to achieve the following:

 Signify challenges faced through the course as life learning facet.

 Reflect on the process of achieving the personal and professional goals as graduating students.
 Radiate dedication and motivation for studying to other students.
  Instil gratitude for the support lend by the college and the university.

Possible Risks/ Problems and Countermeasures

The possible risk or problems, such of small accidents or unfortunate happenings will be counter measured by the
emergency preparedness plan.

Emergency Preparedness Plan – To have the plan is reassuring of the preparedness for anything that might
happen during the activity. In consideration of this, an emergency preparedness plan is conceived by the College’s
Graduating Officers, checking out the venue and confirming the small details as to having a clear fire exit and first aid kit
and other concerns for the safety of participants and of the smooth execution of the programmed activity.

Methodology

The execution of this event will solely be anchored to the activities programmed. Activities that will happen are
programmed to carry on the proposed event.

Programmed Activities – To ensure the possibility of smooth execution of the planned event, the activities were planned
to happen in timed manner. Programming of activities will also ensure the accuracy of the starting and ending time of the
activity that will compliment to the contract of the venue.

Monitoring and Evaluation Plan

To monitor the activity, a program is laid to follow a program and part of the program is the registration which
will be the base for the monitoring of the participants involved.

Activity Program – A program is carefully planned by the Graduating Officers to maintain order throughout the
activity. It will serve as a guide for the smooth execution of plan proposed.

 Registration (Attendance) – Monitoring of the participants is one of the great consideration of this
activity. Through registration, attendance will be accurate as proof of presence of the participants.

To evaluate the plan, a narrative report will be written; which will be supported pictures, minutes of the event
proceedings and other salient documents.

Exit Plan

As the methodology of the event is thru programmed events, the activity will strictly follow the ending part of the
program. In partnership of the college’s Graduating Officers with the college’s Student Government, other concerns of the
exit part such as venue management and most especially of dismissal of participants will be carried on systematically.
