APPENDIX 1 (Individual Duties, Responsibilities, and Additional Duties) to ANNEX A

(Administration) to HOGSOP

1. Purpose. The purpose of this annex is to standardize the definitions of individual duties,
responsibilities, and to define additional duties for team members as necessary.

2. Responsible Agent. The team adjutant in conjunction with the team Sergeant Major will be
responsible for updating this annex and recommending changes.

3. Common Duties of All Team Members. Each Warhog will be responsible for the following:

a. Be doctrinal experts in the tactics, techniques, and procedures used at the TF, Co/Tm,
and PLT level IAW FM 3-90.1, 3-90.2, 3-21.17, 3-20.15, 3-20.98 and other applicable manuals.
b. Provide timely feedback (AAR) regarding battle planning, preparation, and execution.
c. Control the battlefield and provide battlefield effects IAW the CMTC Exercise
Procedures (EXPRO).
d. Be MILES experts.
e. Resolve engagements where MILES cannot be used IAW the CMTC ROE.
f. Maintain personal individual Soldier skills.
g. Enforce Safety.
h. Maintain accountability and equipment readiness IAW Department of the Army
standards. NVGs, when drawn from supply room, will be stored IAW the current Team Physical
Security SOP.
i. Stay physically fit.
j. Each member of the Warhog Team is responsible for his own personnel actions (i.e.
Readiness, birth month audits, medical exams, promotion/school selection board reviews, etc).
Each Team member will keep the Warhog Team Personnel Officer and/or W04 advised of all
personnel actions on-going and pending.
k. Provide counterpart with change of mission (COM) instructions IAW Annex C,
Appendix 1, Tab C.
l. Conduct formal/informal AARs with unit counterpart following each COM.
m. Provide input to Task Force AARs and take-home packages for the appropriate
battlefield operating system (BOS).
n. Certify new Team members to meet Tier II criteria / certification.
o. Conduct unit safety briefs and MILES checks, IAW Annex L (Safety) to the CMTC
ROE.
p. Execute recovery operations IAW Annex D, Appendix 3 to this SOP.
q. Check the Warhog Training Calendar daily for updates and changes to the Warhog
Training Calendar.
r. Daily upkeep of garrison work area. End of workday: desks/tables clean, recycling,
area swept and equipment stored. If last one out, turn off lights (leave computers on), conserve
energy, lock all doors to BLDG, and ensure motor pools are secure.

4. Individual Duties.

a. Senior Task Force O/C (W07)

(1). Responsible for command, control, and operational employment of the


Warhog Team.
(2). Conducts all Task Force level AARs.
(3). Conducts pre-rotational unit briefs as required.
(4). Certifies of all Warhog Team members.
(5). Submits Team Closure Report to the COG after each rotation.

b. Senior Task Force Analyst (W07T)

(1) Warhog Team primary responsible for TFS.


(2) Works with W03 to produce Rotational Unit Take Home Package.
(3) Supervise preparation of all TF AARs.
(4) Provide graphic support of TF strengths and weaknesses.
(5) Collect data on all TF actions that affect mission accomplishment.
(6) Monitor and close OCCS Warhog Exec net after all Warhogs are out of the
field.

c. Deputy Senior Task Force O/C (W02)

(1) Team XO; serve as Senior Task Force O/C in the absence of W07.
(2) Responsible for overseeing all administrative and logistical actions within the
team.
(3) Train and coach unit BN/TF XOs.
(4) Senior logistics trainer.
(5) Conduct Task Force Battle Staff and Logistics AARs.
(6) Supervise the assignment and execution of Warhog Team Additional Duties.
(7) Provide units an information requirements package at least 60 days prior to
them executing a rotation at CMTC.
(8) Responsible for the initiation of TDA changes and the allocation of equipment
within the team.

d. Team Task Force Operations O/C (W03)

(1) Team Operations Officer.


(2) Conduct mission briefs IAW Annex C.
(3) Maintain the Warhog SOP
(4) Direct and train maneuver O/C teams and augmentee O/Cs.
(5) Supervise and assign duties to W03A/03B/39/09.
(6) Develop and implement training plans and schedules IAW FM 7-0, FM 7-1,
UR 350-1 and Cdr, OPS GRP Training Guidance.
(7) Establish and maintain a TASC account.
(8) Notify OPS GRP EXCON when TF is cleared in “BOX” to STX.

(9) Prepare rotational unit Take Home Package in coordination with W07, W02
and W07T.

e. Team Assistant S3 O/C (W03A)

(1) Team Assistant Operations Officer.


(2) Coordinate/schedule training IAW S3 training schedule.
(3) Track the actions and performance of the rotational unit TOC.
(4) Supervise the O/C coverage of rotational unit TOCs 24hrs a day.
(5) Maintain O/C training and certification records.
(6) Supervise the manning and augmentation of team personnel in the conduct of
team operations.
(7) Maintain O/C Team Calendars.

f. Senior Enlisted Trainer (W04)

(1) Team NCOIC.


(2) Conducts the Task Force Senior NCO AAR.
(3) Provide individual skills (Delta Report) and safety information to be collected
for TF AARs.
(4) Manage the Viper teams during filming in the box.
(5) Coordinate:

(a) Washracks for recovery.


(b) Class III .
(c) Individual and NCO training.
(d) Sponsorship and inprocessing of all team NCOs.

(6) Maintain daily accountability of Warhog Team members.


(7) Review enlisted personnel actions and ensure NCOERs are completed on time.
(8) Maintenance and upkeep of facilities and buildings to include a record of all
DEH workorders.

g. Team Operations NCO (W03D)

(1) Teach, coach, mentor, and train BN/TF Operations NCOs


(2) Maintain the Team Training Calendar.
(3) Reproduce copies of all Task Force Operations Orders and Graphics and
distribute to the HQ team and primary OCTs.

(4) Assist W02 in the supervision and execution of Warhog Team Additional
Duties.
(5) Update weekly team training meeting slides / track schools and tasking.
(6) Assist W03/W03A with development of team augmentation plan for
training rotations.
(7) Update the Outlook training calendar as needed.
(8) Maintains Warhog weekly FRAGO.
(9) Maintains team troop to task for command group.
(10) Notify OPS GRP DTOC when TF is cleared in "BOX" to STX.
(11) Maintain the Warhog Team publication library. Ensure publications are
kept current and organized.
(12) Warhog Team Weight Control NCOIC and program record custodian

h. Team S2 O/C (W09)

(1) Team Intelligence and security officer.


(2) Team Key Control Officer.
(3) Train and coach unit Bn/TF S-2s.
(4) Assist W03 with rotational mission briefs pertaining to Box Set, Mission
Event List (MEL) and Combat Battlefield Instruction (CBI).
(5) Provide OPFOR updates during NET Call and as required.
(6) Attend OPFOR/BLUEFOR OPORDs and rehearsals as required.
(7) Assist and advise Team on OPFOR tactics and US Intelligence doctrine.
(8) Provide command and control of OPFOR during ULTP missions.
(9) Provide AAR input to W07.
(10) Coordinate and maintain team CMTC map requirements.
(11) Coordinate with OPFOR and Civilians on the Battlefield (COB) actions
during rotations.
(12) Prepare and brief TOA brief to all rotational units.
(13) Execute all RAM security measure checks IAW with CMTC Operations
Group guidance.

i. CSS Team O/Cs (W08)

(1) Team S4 O/C (W08)

(a) Conduct CTCP safety brief and MILES check.


(b) Exchange information with the Mustang (brigade) and Adler (FSB)
O/Cs concerning key events as relate to combat trains activities.
(c) Coordinate with W10, W17, and W26 to monitor rotational unit
LOGPAC operations.

(d) Provide CSS AAR input to W02 for all missions.

(2) Team HHC Commander O/C (W10)

(a) Conduct daily FTCP AARs and/or HHC AARs.


(b) Provide CSS AAR information to W02 for all formal AARs.
(c) Conduct field trains safety brief and MILES checks.
(d) Exchange information with Brigade (Mustang) and FSB (Adler)
concerning key events as they relate to field trains operations.
(e) Tracks rotational unit PERSTATs, casualties and personnel
administration.
(f) Train, develop, and supervise W10D and W17.
(g) Ensure promotion orders and cert are ready to present to awardee.

(3) Team Medical O/Cs (W24, 24A)

(a) Team medic.


(b) Conduct medical platoon safety brief and MILES checks.
(c) Monitor casualty reporting, medical treatment, and evacuation for the
TF.
(d) Primary staff member responsible for monitoring the team’s
medical/health status, advising W07 on health issues affecting the Team and families. W24
will provide medical support to the Warhog Team, within his capability, for preventative
medicine and limited sick-call support.
(e) Provide training in related areas of professional development (i.e.
combat lifesaver training, etc.).
(f) Monitor the Team's medical program (shots, physicals). POC for
liaison with Hohenfels TMC.

(5) Team Maintenance (W25, 25D)

(a) Team maintenance officer. Provide W02 with daily deadline reports.
(b) Track Task Force combat power and SBDA for each mission.
(c) Conduct UMCP safety brief and MILES checks.
(d) Provide feedback to maneuver team O/Cs on LOGPAC operations.
(d) Coordinate with CMA/RAMS Maintenance for HMMWV Semi and
Annual Service Schedule.
(e) Coordinate with CMA/RAMS AOAP monitor.
(f) Attend OPS GRP Maintenance Meetings.
(g) Perform duty as Warhog Team Master Driver for equipment licensing
purposes.

(6) Team Supply Sergeant (W08)

(a) Assist the team supply officer with all supply activities.
(b) Coordinate issue and turn-in of Team NVGs.
(c) Maintain Warhog Team Supply Room to include hours of operation
and equipment storage.
(d) Maintain a Warhog standard equipment issue for all newly arrived
O/Cs to the team.

j. Maneuver Team O/Cs (W11, 12, 13, 14)

(1) Train and develop team NCOs.


(2) Conduct Co/Tm AARs at Change of Mission (COM) + 4.
(3) Provide AAR input to W07.
(4) Provide Take Home Package input to W03/W07T.
(5) Conduct internal team net call.
(6) Monitor End of Mission Day and R1 tasks IAW Annex C and D. Report
closure to W03.
(7) Conduct unit safety briefs and MILES checks.
(8) Maintain current combat power status and report to W03 as required.
(9) Keep Team updated concerning key events.
(10) Coordinate with TAF and W27 for company fire support plans, preparation,
and execution.
(11) Ensure all completed unit obstacles are marked and recorded.
(12) Ensure that all reports are transmitted IAW Annex C, Appendix 1.
(13) Responsible for the Maneuver Team’s vehicle/equipment accountability and
maintenance.
(14) Coordinate for draw, issue, and turn-in of pyrotechnics for use by the Team.

(15) Draw, issue and turn-in Class V as required for O/C Team support. (13

k. Team Air defense O/C (W16)

(1) POC for all air defense issues.


(2) Control air assessments in coordination with the USAF controller and reports
air battle damage assessment (BDA) on OCCS Warhog Exec.
(3) Conducts duties assigned by W02 or W07.
(4) Team Admin Officer.
(5) In the absence of an officer assigned as W10, covers all W10 duties and
responsibilities.

m. Mortar Team O/Cs (W19, 19A)

(1) Conduct mortar platoon safety brief and MILES checks.


(2) Brief mortar platoon regarding methods of replicating mortar firing signatures.
(3) Verify and check fire plans.
(4) Call in mortar fire missions to Vampires for execution.
(5) Provide post mission AAR comments to W27.

n. Scout Platoon O/C (W20)

(1) Train and develop team NCOs.


(2) Conduct daily Co/Tm AARs.
(3) Provide AAR input to W07.
(4) Provide Take Home Package input (through TFS) to W03/W07T.
(5) Conduct internal team net call.
(6) Monitor End of Mission Day and R1 tasks IAW Annex C and D. Report
closure to W03.
(7) Conduct unit safety briefs and MILES checks.
(8) Maintain current combat power status and report to W03 as required.
(9) Keep Team updated concerning key events.
(10) Coordinate with TAF and W27 for company fire support plans, preparation,
and execution.
(11) Ensure that all reports are transmitted IAW Annex C, Appendix 1.
(12) Monitor End of Mission Day and R1 tasks. Report closure to W03D.
(13) Responsible for Maneuver Team’s vehicle and equipment maintenance.

o. Team Fire Support O/C (W27)

(1) Fire and effects Coordination Cell O/C. POC for all fire support issues (i.e.
artillery, mortars, close air, IO, PSYOPs, CA, Target Effects).
(2) Conduct in-brief of unit FSOs on battlefield effects.
(3) Coordinate with fire support and firemarker team as required.
(4) Coordinate for FASCAM missions.
(5) Supervise and train 27 team and 19 team.
(6) Conduct team internal Net call.
(7) Reports to W03.

p. Signal Officer O/C (W30)

(1) Team Signal Officer. Ensure Warhog Team meets all frequency management
procedures within CMTC, 7ATC, and USAREUR.
(2) Team Automation Officer. Ensure Warhog Team remains within all
USEURER automation procedural guidance.
(3) Responsible for all automation life cycle guidance to W07. Include life cycle
updates to the OPSGP S6.
(4) Responsible to provide AAR submission data to W07 on all command and
control issues relating to the rotational unit.
(5) Advise W07 and team members on all communication and automation
matters.
(6) Attend daily “sticker drill” at Bldg 100 (E4 - X9) and update Warhog CBI
matrix/OPFOR timeline as required.
(7) Manages the master AAR Schedule and Attendee rosters for all AARs.

q. Chemical O/C (W39)

(1) Team chemical NCO. Ensure Warhog Team meets annual protective mask
certification criteria for SRP readiness (gas chamber or banana oil certification).
(2) Conduct chemical platoon safety brief and MILES checks. Assist with
MILES, safety brief, and battle rostering of TF HQ.
(3) Directly observe specific chemical training events.
(4) Coordinate CDM with TAF for timely dissemination of information.
(5) Assist maneuver team O/Cs in controlling chemical events.
(6) Ensure O/Cs have appropriate number of M256 kit trainers (400/401 series
kits) for each rotation.
(7) Provide periodic NBC training to team.
(8) Reproduce rotational unit TF orders and overlays as required, under
supervision of W03.
(9) Team Key Control NCOIC (alternate)

r. Team NCOs (A, B, C, E,F,G,H)

(1) Provide positive control of events IAW the CMTC ROE.


(2) Coach, platoon on tactics, techniques, and soldier skills.
(3) Conduct platoon AARs after each mission.
(4) Monitor platoon tactics to include vehicle/equipment maintenance, MILES
operation/maintenance, PCIs, mission execution and logistical operations.
(5) Provide individual skills and safety input to the Team Delta for the Task Force
Senior NCO AAR.
(6) Provide input to the team primary for the Co/Tm AAR.

s. Team Deltas

(2) Observe/control Co/Tm CSS operations; provide input on unit CSS


operations to team primary and CSS team members.
(3) Maintains a unit status on combat power, maintenance (SBDA/real world) and
personnel accountability (CASEVAC/safety brief/casualty cards/battle rosters).
(4) Observes unit MILES draw and ensures that unit is “built” into the CMTC
Instrumentation System (IS) at the TAF.
(5) Ensures unit completion of both initial and final link-up.
(6) Participate in the CSS Net Call IAW the format in Annex D, Appendix 2.
(7) Conduct internal team CSS Net Call.
(8) Conduct daily Co/Tm CSS AARs with the unit XO, 1SG.
(9) Provide individual skills and safety input to W04 for the Task Force Senior
NCO AAR.
(10) Coordinate Viper and CBI coverage for the team.
(11) Submit fratricide reports to the team primary.
(12) Tracks PID # changes and updates the TAF as required.
(13) At COM, controls unit movement across pullback line; coordinates with unit
for assembly area and boneyard site selection.
(14) Draws, issues and collects team pyrotechnics.
(15) Coordinates MILES issues for the team with the MILES contact team.
(16) Ensures battle rosters are completed and disseminated.
(17) Prepared to assume the duties of the Co/Tm primary or Platoon O/C as
required.

5. Additional Duties.

a. Soldiers assigned these extra duties must maintain a continuity book, which contains
the following (as a minimum).

(1) Appointment orders assigning the soldier to the additional duties. (Signed by
W07).
(2) Duty description.
(3) Identifying specific references in the Warhog SOP that applies to your
additional Duty.
(4) Additional references that apply to your additional duty. (i.e. Weight Control,
IAW AR 600-9).
(5) Points of contact and telephone numbers that relate to your additional duty.
(6) Outlined procedures and forms required in the execution of the additional
duty.

b. The following additional duties are assigned to members of the Warhog Team, either
by Team (i.e. the W11 Tm) or by the individual position (i.e. W09). Additional duty appointments
(per individual) are then assigned through appointment orders signed by W07.
