During Reading
• Guide Comprehension, remind students that rereading can make details
clearer and helps us to remember important information.
**Make a point to have kids check out the captions. Ask them to think about
what details the captions add.
After reading
Respond to reading by asking the following questions:
1. What is the book mainly about?
2. Where is Yellowstone National Park?
3. What are some things you can see there? What things were gifts from
God?
4. Why do you think people like to visit Yellowstone?
5. Did the strategy of rereading help anyone understand something better?

near and far.”
