Topic: In the modern world, people consume more processed foods than ever
before without realizing the health hazard

Yes, I agree with the statement In the modern world, people comsume more
processed foods than ever before without realizing the health hazard.
Processed food is a type of food that is processed and packaged, which can be served
and eaten directly. Processed food is very easy for people who don’t have time to cook.
In Indonesia, there are many spreads of processed food products, both local and non-
local products . This type of food is currently very easy to find, not only in large
supermarkets, small food stores have also selling because of the enthusiasts people are
very much. Processed foods that are often found in everyday life, for example instant
noodles, sardines, sausages ect.
This food is very practical because for the present most of the processed food
is simply, opened the package, cook for a while and the food is ready to eat. There are
even processed foods that can be cooked directly without cooking. With the practicality
of processed food makes some people argue that if sometimes comsume this food is
certainly not a problem, but in my opinion processed foods are very dangerous for
health because the safety and nutrition value of processed foods is very likely no longer
the same as when the food is still in the form of natural ingredients. And the high
content of fat, sugar, cholesterol and additives that are not good for health can trigger
several diseases, obesity, cancer, heart disease and other chronic diseases. Additional
ingredients in processed foods that are harmful to health are coloring agents, bleach,
artificial sweeteners, flavor enhancers and preservatives.
For example, canned foods certainly have a high level of preservatives, so
canned foods can last long and if you notice canned food can be rusty. So there is a
possibility that the rust is mixed in the food in it. In my opinion, it is better to consume
tempe, fresh fish and vegetables can be processed by themselves to delicious and
healthy food rather than having to eat processed foods that have a negative impact on
health later.
