Trainee: Shamma Topic or Theme: writing activity 2 of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. (My
Marwan Favorite Character from Goldilocks and the Three Bears.)

Trainee Personal Goals

Firstly, in this lesson, I am working on how to be specific in my goals of the lesson. For example, at the
end of the lesson, I need my learners to memorize the vocabulary words that we study it during the
lesson. In addition, introduce clear instructions of each activity and give them a specific time to spend it
on the activity that will be easier and smooth to deal with the lesson. However, I need to use some
strategy that could help me to manage and avoid the misbehaviour such as, positive, negative and
punishment reinforcement according to the behaviourist theory. Moreover, I need to organize my
classroom. For example, create an environment related to the story that helps my learners be happy.

Lesson Focus

On how to write a short description related to the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears so they need
to choose their favorite character and write a simple description about it. Also, students will color the
best character that they chose it in a beautiful way. In addition, I will create a creative lesson so after
they finish their writing I will give each group a basket includes face parts such as, eyes, nose, and
mouth of Goldilocks, Papa bear, Mama bear, and Baby bear and each group will get a scissor and glues.
Then, each student should build their favorite characters face and paste it on the top of the worksheet
as a character hold it.

Lesson Outcomes

Students will be able to write short description about their favorite character.

Students will be able to explain in their 3-simple description of why they choose this character.

Students will be able to design their favorite character through create their character by cut and paste
the face parts of the character.

Links to Prior Learning

Students actually practice in our first lesson when I explain to them how we write 3 short simple
sentences related to Goldilocks and the Three Bears so they will understand how to write a short
description about their favorite character, but students will need some practice and show them
example how to write a description.

21st Century Skills

The 21st Century Skills are important points in the teaching and the teachers should focus on these
specific points because its benefit to the students it gives them a chance to produce their actions
through these skills. However, the 21-century skills are critical thinking, communication, collaboration,
and creativity so I believe that each point includes a basic point that could help learners while they
learn. Also, the ability of the students is different so as a teacher should know that the students need to
produce their active and their abstract thinking so through these skills we can give them chance to
learn in the best environment because there are different methods can help them while they learn. For
example, keep students think before we give them the answers, and let them share their beautiful
ideas with their friends that ways can be helpful to them.

Students will face a difficultly while they
write a simple description about their
favorite character. For example, Shamma
choose Papa bear and she don’t have an
idea how to write full sentence related to
her favorite character such as “I like Papa
bear because__________”.
I will explain to them how to write a simple description
of our favorite character by ask two learners came in
front of the class and ask them can you tell me why did
you love your best friend so they will try to say some
vocabulary words while they try to think about say a
simple sentence that helps other learners acquire it
such as, I love, I like and she is so I think this way will be
funny because they will understand it through their
friends explanation while they describe their friends.
Then, I will display the PowerPoint slides and show
them an example of how we can write a simple
description related to our favorite character in the story
of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. For example, the first
slide says “I like Papa bear because I like his clothes. The
second slide shows other examples “Baby bears is cute.

groups according to their levels. Then, I will
explain the instruction of the activity.
Firstly, each student will get writing
worksheet about Goldilocks and the Three
Bears. Secondly, I will say to the learners
“you will see the 4 characters of the story
in the worksheet, so they should choose
one of their favorite character and color it
in a nice way. Thirdly, I will ask them to
write three different simple description
sentences about Goldilocks and the three
bears. Lastly, students will see a box in the
middle of the table include the materials
which are the face parts such as, eyes,
nose, and mouth to help them create their
favorite character. Then, paste it on the
top of the worksheet.

Differentiation activities (Support)

I changed the method of the question for each level so low-level student I will ask them to follow the
dots to write the full description of the sentence. For example, "Goldilocks is_________________". In
addition, for middle-level students, I wrote in each line one word to help them complete write their
own description sentence, so I think this way is helpful to students.

Differentiation activities (Stretch)

I will ask the higher-level students to write 3 simple description sentences without writing an example
on their paper that could help them just I wrote on the first line “The” and they should complete
writing the full description about their favorite character in Goldilocks and the Three Breas story.
