Brainstorming and Sketches. Please complete in your Journal.

Sketch of your cereal name and its logo. Must match design.
Sketch of your character, 2 different shapes for your cereal, the bowl and the
background. Journal #6
Character sketch approved by the teacher. Nothing copyrighted or used directly off
the internet. Designs are hand drawn originals.

Design in Illustrator

Canvas/ Image size is 8 inches by 10 inches.

Sketch is photographed and placed in Illustrator. Image is locked and drawn on a
new layer.

4th Layer- Cereal Pieces
5th Layer- Cereal Title
__ Cereal is well defined as 2 shapes. Gradient is used to color each piece and
PATHFINDER is used to exclude the front making the piece hollow.
Rest of the images are colored via Live Paint and include pattern, gradient and
texture.

Creativity

Originality of cereal logo.

Originality of the cereal box overall design: character, cereal pieces, bowl and
background. (unity)
Originality of individual parts: cereal character, cereal shapes, bowl and
background.
