ADVANCE HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

FINAL EXAMINATION

The subject starts with the brief explanation of Professor Rose Tanguilan
about the syllabus. After the discussion the class was grouped into 5 and each
group were given time to discuss and brainstorm about their topic.
The first group to discuss made use of a talk show where they discussed
about Human Resource Management in perspective and tackled first about
rewards and management wherein teachers must know their students and must
talk to them after class if they see problems. Moreover, they also tackle about
the 5 management cycle which is planning, controlling, implementing, monitoring
and evaluating. They also emphasize the HRM are positive and flexible people
who are working collaboratively to achieve one’s goal.
In connection the second group discussed about Developing Effectiveness
in Human Resource where they talked about the different trainings they have in
school such as Inset, Lac sessions. Further, they talked about the horizontal and
vertical promotion as well as the different types of leadership and the
performance management system where they focused on the IPCRF of teachers
and OPCRF of heads; its benefits and negative aspects.
Furthermore, the third grouped discussed about Meeting Human Resource
Requirements, wherein they talked about the Recruitment principles here in our
Country as well as in China. They also discussed about the Employment
procedure and if it is really followed or not.
The fourth grouped made use of a lively Talk show strategy wherein they
discussed about Implementing Compensation, Security and Enhancing
Management Relations. They focused on their experiences in school where they
discussed about the MOOE of the school and its allocations and procedures in
spending the MOOE. In addition, promotions, incentives and retirement program
were also given emphasis.

The last grouped discussed their topic using broadcasting where they
focused more with their experience as teachers and school head. They discussed
about Promoting Safety, Health and Well Being of Employees. They talked about
their projects in school to ensure the teachers and students’ health and wellness,
as well as their activities in school to motivate and balance learning and working.
Moreover they also talked about their best practices such as having morning
praises, thanks giving mass, culminating activity, outreach programs and more.
At the end of the report Ma’am Juliet said that everybody who goes to work
should go home safe which is very powerful and meaningful.
Realization about the learning’s and sharing.

The subjects itself made me realize that Human resource does not only
mean the people who are in charge of hiring and firing people but eventually
they deal with the people. The collaboration of ideas in every group were
presented in a creative and simple way that all of the audience were able to
connect and participate during the presentation.

I am actually amazed on the sharing of challenges in the teacher’s

perspective area of work and thought that in some point we are having the same
scenarios in terms of handling our students and dealing with our superiors as
well as the paper works. I was also discouraged by the fact that some were able
to experience the unfair ways of hiring, recruitment and promotions. In lieu with
this, there are also positive aspects where some of the teachers shared that they
were a product of fair recruitment wherein they follow the employment
procedure/guidelines and not the palakasan and kumpare/kumpadre system.

In connection, the chinese students though it was really difficult to

understand their explanation but they still made effort to share their practices in
china is quite commendable. I have learned that in china they were really strict
in following the guidelines in recruiting and employing people. Whereas they
need to go through a lot of assessment just to be employed. It was just very
alarming that in this 4th industrial revolution, China is still having the gender
inequality that they see male employees who are more capable of doing work
compared to female employees.

In addition, the sharing of best practices was also good wherein I have
learned a lot of strategies, methods and approaches that I can surely use in the
future. The discussion about IPCRF, MOOE, Incentives and other things made
me realized that no matter how hard the work is if you really love what you are
doing then everything would result according to what you have planned.
Moreover, as an employee do not always think of money as incentive rather
think of the people whom you help and could help by just doing your best in
your work. As a teacher, I can say that best reward I have received is seeing my
students achieve their goals and aspirations in life and being a part of their
success.
