1. Control of borders:
- UKBF undertake inspections at the border
& inform HSE if issues are found.
- Mixture of proactive/reactive work.
- HSE can direct these inspections with the
right intelligence. Can target specific
products/importers.

- UKCA mark will replace CE marking after
a time limited period (to be confirmed).
- Requirements to comply with the Directive
Essential Safety Requirements will not
change.

3. Lowering of Standards.
- Government has made a commitment that
Standards will not reduce as a result of
Brexit.
- HSE do acknowledge this as a concern
and will work with BEIS to ensure that levels
of safety are not compromised.
