Barangay San Antonio in the Municipality of Los Banosprovince of Laguna is
geographically located at approximately 14.1781 East and 121.2483 North with a total population of 13,537. The analysis of this community was carried out with the use of stakeholder analysis. As defined in many kinds of literature, it is a tool used to generate knowledge about different individuals and organizations to understand their behavior, intentions, and interests with regards to natural resources that may have a large impact on their decision-making.
In the stakeholder analysis, it is very important to determine a different kind of
stakeholders in a community and as stated in the Project Cycle Management (n.d), stakeholders includes user groups (the one using the resources in the area), interest groups (have an interest, opinion, or can affect the use of resources), beneficiaries, and decision makers and divided into main types namely primary stakeholders and secondary stakeholders. Primary stakeholders are the vulnerable people residing very near to the resources. The secondary stakeholders, on the other hand, are the people from the different institutions with interest to the resources of the area such as the barangay officials, and other people involved in the private sectors in the area. In this activity response, the group will determine which among the identified actors has the interest and authority over natural resources management.
