Explain the relationship between online marketing (such as Facebook) and product development.
[Score: 0 ]

Telemarketing or online marketing such as selling via Facebook relates to product development
in a sense that it can bring a certain innovation to what is already the traditional perception of
that certain product. For example, when a company like ours offer an online directory in
Australia, we can incorporate a business recommendation ranking (those that are registered in
our directory) via social media voting which is accumulated by how customers rate them and the
number of likes they garner in facebook. The traditional perception of a directory only offers a
list of businesses, while ours offer telemarketing to a next level in which we create our
recommendation of businesses listed via the support of telemarketing campaign.

As a manager or a supervisor, how do you handle an IT and CS Staff? [Score: 0 ]

As a manager, it is best to always audit both the CS and IT staffs. To effectively manage them,
you will need to have enough expertise as a manager about matters concerning IT. With this,
you can also empower your IT and CS staffs by giving them bigger responsibilities in terms of
creating the perfect digital infrastructure for the company. Together with your support, monitoring
and supervision, your whole team of IT and CS experts can be inspired in building the best
digital support for your accounting, security, and customer service department. But it does not
limit only to support these departments, you must also effectively make them feel the
importance of IT by imparting the message of their greater responsibility of maintaining the
Technological infrastructure of your business which will surely affect the culture, efficiency and
relationships of a business.

Can DDOS attack be carried out without botnets? Explain. [Score: 2 ]

DDOS attack can be carried without botnets but will take a lot of resources, time, and effort to
happen. This is because you can simply open numerous computers and access a certain IP to
create traffic manually without the help of a BOT.

Explain the difference between Virtual Machine and VPNs. [Score: 2 ]

Virtual Machines are computer devices that are inside another computer. They are used for
security and backup reasons. Meanwhile, VPN on the other hand is another server called the
VPN server, that could be in another location, in which it allows you access to become part of
another network. VPN serves to bypass certain restrictions given by a certain host
because you are identified as someone who is allowed to have the access to their network via
the VPN server.
In your opinion, what services in your organization will require port forwarding?
[Score: 2 ]

The certain service that requires port forwarding the most is the inbound and outbound support
sector of the company. This is because IP phones will require answering outside the
management. When the IP phones are connected by means of PoE, it does not only allow the
executives or agents to answer calls despite having moments of power outage, but it will also
allow them to answer important calls via port forwarding regardless if they are inside or outside
the LAN coverage. Other organizations are the Tech. Developers and the Accounting. Through
port forwarding, the executives can easily access the projects by opening the PCs which the
data and softwares are stored.

How beneficial is (or was) it to you if you were given VPN access to your network? [Score: 1 ]

In my own personal experience, the use of VPN has benefitted me a lot because I was able to acquire free internet
data from my connection to a VPN server that I remembered was in Singapore. In my personal opinion this is quite
unethical because it had enabled me to bypass the blocking of data from globe by passing through a VPN server in
Singapore. It has allowed me to also perform unlimited download and browsing, but that was before.
In terms of work, it is beneficial in our organization since we are a company in the Philippines that hosts websites
designated for Australian Customers that require to access areas with lots of restrictions in Australia. In actual sense,
our office and server is situated in the Philippines but the websites we host cater customers in Australia. Both the
Call Center and IT departments which is located in the Philippines are able to communicate effectively, with
anonymity, to clients abroad and to discuss what we can offer in our website directory for them to transact with us
effectively via VPN access as we connect to an Australian VPN server. In this way we remain anonymous as
Filipinos transacting with Australian clients which gives us also protection from hackers in the most convenient way.

What are the benefits of virtual machines in your organization, and what services can be used with it?
Explain. [Score: 1 ]

The advantages and benefits of virtual machine are for security, backup, and update. Aside from
this, there are also other instances in which virtual machines can be a great alternative to
establish additional servers. They can be very beneficial for a company like ours that hosts
numerous websites because these machines save lots of space and it also features a power-
saving benefit in which it will have a lesser electricity consumption. Lastly, Virtual Machines offer
convenience in terms of keeping them updated. This means that the company will not have to
undergo the burden of acquiring sophisticated softwares to run and manage compared to the
cost of acquiring a whole new computer server.
Explain the importance of a Link Balancer’s Utilization report, especially to a manager. [Score: 2 ]

Link Balancer's Utilization report is important because it allows the manager to know the amount
of bandwidth of every computer is consuming in an organization. With this important data being
presented to managers, the executives or supervisors can purposely control and manage the
allocation of bandwidth to the most important computers and to those that should be less
prioritized.

Which part of your organization would you recommend customized, and which part are ready-made?
Why? [Score: 0 ]

The ones that are already ready-made in the company is the accounting system. This is because our company uses
Quick-Books software which will definitely organize all the data required to complete the accounting process in a
very convenient way. Aside from this, the security systems concerning the CCTVs and other monitoring systems are
also steadily organized, in which our central office in Australia both monitors the Australian and Philippine offices
through a single control room. What I would recommend for the company is to use a software that could easily track
on projects like JIRA which serves as a project tracker since most of our projects and tasks are on the website building.
Through this, we can effectively report to the boss the completed projects conveniently, and everyone else in the
company can keep track of the progress or they can either comment on what is lacking on the process if they notice
something.

Is wireless point to point applicable in your current organization? Why or why not?

Wireless point to point is pretty much applicable for our company because we have many offices in different areas.
Since our company is an IT and a call center at the same time, we pretty much require a stable network that handles
many offices in our daily operation. In common practice, for us to achieve this is to set a good physical
infrastructure in our different office via physical wire. However, applying this will most likely provide a huge
problem since our buildings are heavily being spread across the city. For this reason, wireless point-to-point is
necessary and pretty much beneficial because it enables us to get interconnected to each other as one company by
utilizing the use of a wireless line that effectively connects buildings to our main network in a single head office. By
applying this, we are also able to save money because we won’t be needing to invest on an underground wires.

Aside from CCTVs, how would port forwarding benefit SMEs? [Score: 2 ]

It would benefit SMEs when a manager or owner decides to access HRIS and a certain
computer to check the datas, files, and softwares from within despite being away from the LAN.
This is ideal in a setup with a static IP. Furthermore, it can also be used to access IP
phones and other devices that can be connected to the internet via port.

How would you change the configuration of the Web Filter in your organization to improve the
productivity of all employees? [Score: 2 ]

The very first thing I would change in the filtering of websites in our organization is to eliminate
the access to play videos in facebook. This is because a staff might be tempted to just watch
videos in facebook and may reduce productivity. As for the access to the site itself, I cannot
totally recommend eliminating facebook since it is part of our business to spread facebook
marketing. However, it might be good to add certain word filters on what to search in which it
functions to directly close the browser once a certain word is being input to a certain
website. Aside from this, it would also be very applicable in youtube, since we can't directly
eliminate youtube in our accessibility due to it being useful in the business.

What part of the organization can you automate process using technology, without adding more
people? [Score: 2 ]

The part that needs the most automation is the SEO or Search engine optimization. The
company should install softwares that will automatically commence blog and forum postings,
and link building. This is because of the fact that SEO demands numerous workload due
to the vastness of the market that needs to be captured. Aside from this, calls that
answer FAQs should also be automated due to the fact that there are template answers to
certain questions like these.
