ABSTRACT

This study was conducted to determine the services provided by the

criminology interns deployed in the different agencies. It aimed to assess the
level of satisfaction of the services provided by the criminology interns
deployed in the different agencies. The results show that the services
provided by the criminology interns varies in the agencies where they are
deployed. It was further noticed that the criminology interns do much work
on security and on the implementation of policies, ordinances and laws.
Moreover, criminology interns help in the implementation of the different
programs and activities conducted by the different offices, assist visitors and
clients of the offices they are serving, direct traffics at the intersections, help
in the traffic managements and assisting in the pedestrian crossing. Besides,
they do the clerical job and act as messengers sometimes. They also help in
organizing documents in the office and assist in preparing materials needed
for seminars, workshops and trainings. On the level of satisfaction,
generally, it can be noted that the five agencies were satisfied on the
services of the MPSPC criminology interns with an overall mean of 87.75%.
It can be perceived from the data that Mountain Province Provincial Police
Office personnel has the highest satisfaction level on the performance of the
MPSPC criminology interns with 100%. However, it was evident from the
data that Bontoc Fire Station (BFS) has the lowest satisfaction level with
76.38%. It can be drawn that the services provided by the criminology
interns are directly related to their degree and prepare them in their future
career and they are efficient and productive in performing their assigned
task and they meet the quality standards set forth by the different agencies.
However, criminology interns are desired to undergo seminars on how to
deal with the services provided in the different agencies to effectively
contribute to the performance of the personnel of the agency where they are
assigned. Intership program coordinators are encourage to come up with
alternative ways on how to acquaint the criminology interns on the services
provided in the Bureau of Fire Protection to level up their satisfaction
rate. The other researchers are encourage to conduct research on the factors
affecting the performance of the criminology interns during their On-The-Job
Training (OJT).
