Hello my name is Dominic Tucker I am 18 years old and I am an American Soldier I

enlisted in 2018 and I do not regret it one bit it is an amazing career and surrounds me with
amazing people. My hobbies are sports, fishing, and video games. I have three brothers and
one sister and my parents are still together. I spent most of my life in Ohio but I was born in
Jackson Michigan. Concord is the only high school I have attended but I wouldn't want to have
another one the staff and the students that attend here are one of a kind. My favorite teacher
would have to be Mrs Felix because she is so full of energy and is very funny and I find spanish
to be very interesting. In this portfolio you will be reading about my career I want to pursue and
I am already pursuing, you will be reading about what I think of myself as a person and some
personal goals I have set for myself. I also have five writing samples which are some of my
favorite pieces that I have done throughout high school. I also have a letter to my future self and
a senior reflection of myself and the school.
My resume and cover letter will help me greatly because I already have an idea on what
it will look like and also I now know how to write a resume. The personal statement will help me
because it made me think on how I think of myself. The goal statement helped me because I
have something to go off of now that I have thought of it and it will motivate me to achieve those
goals. My career profile helps me because it makes me think of my career and it helped me
think if I really want this career and I do. The five writing samples have helped me because I
now know what some of my best pieces are and get to see how my writing has improved over
time. The letter to my future self has helped because it gives me an idea on what I think my life
will be like in 10 years. The senior reflection has helped because I got to find out what I thought
of this school and how I have improved over the years as a student. I have realized how much
confidence I have found in myself and how more mature I have gotten and also how I have
stopped procrastinating and I realized how good I am at school if I just do my best.
The portfolio is beneficial to me because it taught me how to make a portfolio and it
gives me the knowledge on everything this portfolio included about myself and my career. This
is going to help me in the real world for when I need to make a portfolio for a job or for college.
My future goals are to pursue the military, go to college, and join the police force. I hope the
reader will get a jist of who I am and how good of a person I am and can be.
