Start your class with a warm up activity “Disappearing text” Put a text on the board
including examples of the meanings of articles that you have presented or are going
to present, and have one student or team of students read it out loud. They then
choose one word and that is covered or erased. The next person or team must then

Hapi i dytë:
Ask students to work in pairs and list as many types, genres or styles as they can for each
category in sixty seconds in exercise 1 page 9 and after that choose three subjects and tell their
pairs how they feel about them. Then move to exercise 3 where students have to read the article
and choose a/an, the or no article and complete the text. After finishing check comprehension as
a class.
After that move to exercise 4 where students have to read the article again and match the
performers with their main worry.
Hapi i tret :
For the next activity ask students to work with exercise 5 where they have to read Remember this
and complete the cartoon caption with articles and find examples for the rules in the text in
exercise three.
Then go over grammar Focus on page 126 about articles.

Do some extra practice to check understanding with exercise 6 where they have to work in pairs,
look at the sentences and explain how the use of different articles changes the meaning and
exercise 7 where they have to complete the question in eight different ways.
