Abstract

With the impending scarcity of nonrenewable resources, people are considering using alternate

sources of energy. From all other available resources sun energy is the most abundant and it is

comparatively easy to convert it to electrical energy. Use of solar panel to convert sun’s energy to

electrical is very popular, but due to transition of the Sun from east to west, the fixed solar panel may

be able to generate optimum energy. The proposed system solves the problem by an arrangement for

the solar panel to track the Sun.

In this project we are going to make a Solar Panel Tracker using Arduino, in which we will use two

LDRs (Light dependent resistor) to sense the light and a servo motor to automatically rotate the solar

panel in the direction of the sun light. Advantage of this project is that Solar panel will always follow the

sun light will always face towards the sun to get charge all the time and can provide the supply the

maximum power.
Acknowledgments

We would like to thank our Hod. Dr.Sumit Chabri for his advice throughout this project,
the mechanical department of our college for their technical cooperation and assistance
throughout this project. We are very thankful to all who supported us for we have
completed our project effectively moreover on time. We are over helmed in all the
humbleness and gratefulness to acknowledge our depth to all those who have helped us
to put these ideas well. We would like to thank each member of our project team and
cooperation throughout this project.

Finally, we would like to acknowledge with gratitude the support and love of our family,
our parents. They all kept us motivated and the entire project would not have been
possible without them.

Last but not the least the full support and coordination of our mentor and project guide our
very own Assistant professor Ankesh Samanta for his unmatchable dedication and
involvement throughout this whole journey of completion of the project.
