GUIDELINES TO STUDENTS:
Students are required to observe the followings:

1. Upon completion of each assignment task, students are required to prepare


assignment task report.

2. The word count for this assignment should be limited to 3,500 words.

3. All task reports should be stapled together then submit as one.

4. Assignment format:

5. Cut and paste work, plagiarism and undeclared sources will result in an automatic

6. All references and citation shall use Harvard Referencing Style.

7. The assignment should be typed using 1.5 spaces between lines in 12 Times New
Roman point-font.

8. Check carefully the submission date and the instructions given with the assignment.
Late assignments will not be accepted.

9. If you are unable to hand in your assignment on time and have valid reasons such as
illness, you may apply (in writing) for an extension. If the semester is not ended,
extension is subject to final approval by the Principal (or the Person-In-Charge of the
programme), otherwise no extension request will be entertained.

10. After submission, the first assessor (usually will be your lecturer) shall provide
students feedback on work submitted so that future improvements can be made.

11. No appeal on the academic judgment shall be entertained.

12. If there are presentations, the presentation will be on Week 10/11 (Duration at least 5
minutes / student depending on the lecturer’s allocation).

This is an individual report. You are to complete the tasks below depending on your
choice of grade.

Scenario:

You have been approached by a potential customer who wishes to invest RM200 million
in a company. The company should be listed on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange
(KLSE).

Obtain the latest copy of the Annual Report of your selected company and other financial
information to prepare a report about the company. Your review and report should cover the
last 2 consecutive financial years.

This is an individual report. You are to complete the tasks below depending on your
choice of grade.

types of management accounting systems.
P2 Explain different methods used for management accounting reporting.
P3 Calculate costs using appropriate techniques of cost analysis to prepare an

P5 Compare how organisations are adapting management accounting systems to
respond to financial problems.
