My Five Year Plan After Graduation

Five years after graduation I plan to obtain a bachelor degree in psychology. Right now

I'm really not sure what I really want to truly do for the rest of my life. The only thing I like

doing is helping other with their problems and helping people communicate better.

I know that sense I like doing that, it leads me to desiring a position as a mental health

counselor or a guidance and career counseling.

First of all I plan to do 2 years at the Jc here in merced and then transfer out to San Diego

state. I would just go straight after highschool however, I have to stay to save up for money. My

family isn’t financially stable so I plan to get on financial aid and try to get a job. This will be

very challenging because I have to try and complete as many classes I possibly can. I also plan to

try my best to help out my family at the same time. I know it's not going to be easy but I am

going to try my best to work through it even though it will be very had to completely.

Secondly, after the 2 years I do at the Jc in Merced I plan to switch out to San Diego State

because I have a scholarship to there. When I move out there I am going to move in with my

cousins and eventually my family is going to move out there which would be my mother and my

older brother. We will all work because it would be better work for all of us. I plan to do my last

2 years there and graduate from there. After I get my bachelors degree I want to start my training

to become a mental health counselor. I have to do hours to complete my training to get certified.

In the meantime in doing my hours I am going to do a part-time job.

Lastly, I want to finish my training and get certified. I want to work and get my own

place from there I want to save up the most money I possibly can and do online school to get my

masters. After I get my masters I to become a mental house counselors. This all is going to take
time and isn't going to be easy through it all however, I plan to fight through everything because

I want to have a good life and help my family. I don't want to have to struggle like my family did

when I was younger and my teenage years. I want to also help my family and do the best I can

for them.

Overall I know I'm going to accomplish all of this and make my family proud to be the

one that made it out. I also want to show people that it doesn't matter where you are from our

what your past is, if you out your mind to it you can do it.
