Intention: By
the end of this lesson, students should be able to demonstrate a running bounce as well
as a drop punt and handball on the move.
Pre-lesson organisation:
Ensure the balls are pumped up and that enough cones are available.
Equipment: - At least 14 footballs
- Marker cones

Bridging organisation
9:12 To move smoothly onto the next activity, bring the class in and as they are moving in, the
AM teacher will split class into four teams of seven, the teacher will ask 4 students to place four
cones in a line. The teacher will explain how the activity works and then do a slow
demonstration.
9:39 Teacher will ask two students from each team to set out 4 cones to make a
AM diamond. Teacher will then split the class into two teams of seven. The teacher will
decide which team is batting first then the teacher will bring the students in to
explain and demonstrate modified game.
Closure:

AM Students are sitting in front of the teacher. Teacher asks students about what they
learnt today. The teacher then asks a student to demonstrate or talk through the
key teaching points of the handball. Teacher dismisses students.
