SUAREZ RESOLUTION COMMENDING SPEAKER GLORIA MACAPAGAL ARROYO FOR HER REMARKABLE AND EFFICIENT LEADERSHIP DURING THE THIRD REGULAR SESSION OF THE SEVENTEENTH CONGRESS WHEREAS, through sheer hard work, efficiency and professionalism, Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo steered the House of Representatives to fully realize President Duterte’s change and development agenda that will make a positive impact on the lives of the Filipino people; WHEREAS, Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo directed the House of Representatives to work tirelessly, and thus, passed all the priority measures enumerated by the President in the 2018 State of the Nation Address; WHEREAS, under her capable leadership, the House of Representatives initiated several vital socio-economic measures which are now landmark laws, such as: © Republic Act No. 11054, entitled, “An Act Providing for the Organic Law Jor the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, Repealing Jor the Purpose Republic Act No. 6734, entitled'An Act Providing for an Organic Act for the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, as amended by Republic Act No. 9054, entitled'An Act to Strengthen and Expand the Organic Act for the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao;” * Republic Act No. 11055, entitled, “An Act Establishing the Philippine Identification System;” * Republic Act No. 11166, entitled, “An Act Swengihening the Philippine Comprehensive Policy on Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) Prevention, Treatment, Care, and Support, and Reconstituting the Philippine National AIDS Council (PNAC), Repealing for the purpose Republic Act No. 8504, otherwise known as the “Philippine Aids Prevention and Control Act of 1998”, and Appropriating Funds Therefor?
