Senior Reflection (Graduation Speech)

Heather Redd

21 May 2019

I have been to three different high schools in the past four years so I have got to meet a

lot of different people and they have taught me many different things. These last two years at

Peninsula high school have been so good and I have enjoyed it more than anywhere else . The

environment here at Peninsula is the best I have seen at any school. Everyone is so welcoming

and energetic. Even when we lost James and Kyle we were more united than ever. Standing in

the library giving out hugs to those who needed them. I have met some really great people and

i've learned from everyone that I have crossed paths with. I've learned to be more understanding

and more ambitious and I've learned more about myself and how I need to just live and not let

my fear of the unknown hold me back; to let my passions fuel me and not my fear.

I have learned to be more understanding through my interactions with others and my

constant want to help. Throughout my high school career I have always been the kid that tries to

make friends with everyone, I have always tried to be very friendly. Although there have been

times where I was not happy I still came to school with a good attitude and I always try to

brighten peoples day. I think that we need to learn to be more understanding of others and realize

that everyone has their own stuff going on.

I have also learned to be more ambitious and have taught myself to have more

motivation. To push myself and not let my fear control me. I want others to also learn to push

themselves and just live in the moment.
