ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

MyVocab modules are developed based on the English Language

vocabulary needed for Level 1 and based on the latest UPSR format for

Level 2.

The module applies the vocabulary as a tool to teach literacy in

English for Level 1. It also acts as a medium to enhance vocabulary

acquisition. Whereas for level 2, it focuses on four components in UPSR

English format which are grammar, social expression, comprehension and

writing component. It acts as a tool to familiarise the pupils on the

strategy to answer questions in the real examination.

The activities within each set of the modules adhere to a cycle

of the modular configuration approach of reading and writing. Pupils in Year

1, 2 and 3 learn progressively from letters to words, phrases and

sentences, with activities and task within their context. While for year 4,

5 and 6, they learn through tasks and questions relevant to the UPSR

latest format.

The 2018 modules are created based on the previous English

activities (2015-2017) held during the morning programmes in school.

This module is a better version of the previous one, after much discussion

and improvement. Therefore, the contributions of those involved in the

making of this module are duly recognized and very much appreciated.
