The Diploma in Human Resource Management offers learners without prior
experience the knowledge and skills they need to be operationally effective in a

 Critically assess HR data and information from a variety of organisations and
use this for strategic HRM and decision-making

Description
The Diploma in Human Resource Management is designed for learners who have
gained a considerable degree of subject knowledge and proficiency from
undergraduate studies, experience within the workplace, or both. The approach to
study is essentially one of self-direction, critical reflection and exposure to situations
where individuals can evidence learning through presentation, seminar delivery,
group work and interactive discussion groups.

Participants are encouraged to apply knowledge and to show a critical awareness of
current management situations and problems. Assessment strategies in the units
have been designed to allow students to evidence practical skills of data
management and manipulation, synthesis of ideas in application, and to
communicate outcomes to others in different HRM situations.
Equivalences

This qualifications at Level 7 represent practical knowledge, skills, capabilities and


competences that are assessed in academic terms as being equivalent to Masters
degree level.

This Diploma in Human Resource Management consists of 6 mandatory units for a


combined total of 120 credits.

 Leading, Managing and H.R Development- 20 Credits
 Resourcing, Talent Management and Development- 30 Credits
 Performance Management- 20 Credits
 Employee Relations- 10 Credits
 Investigating a Business Issue from an H.R Perspective- 20 Credits

Assessment and verification

All units within this qualification are internally assessed via submission of
assignments and externally verified by awarding body - EduQual, UK. The
qualifications are criterion referenced, based on the achievement of all the specified
learning outcomes.
To achieve a ‘pass’ for a unit, learners must provide evidence to demonstrate that
they have fulfilled all the learning outcomes and meet the standards specified by all
assessment criteria.
