CHAPTER V

CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTION

This chapter presents the conclusion and suggestions. The conclusion is

made for interpret the findings in previous chapter, and suggestions are

delivered to the teacher, school and the government to increase their effort in

developing the private school especially Madrasah Tsanawiah Antasari

Samarinda, also for the next researcher who will do the similar research in the

future.

A. Conclusion

Based on the result of the research and the analyzing of the data in

the previous chapters, a conclusion was drawn related to the English

teaching at MTs Antasari Samarinda in academic year 2016/2017. The

conclusion was that there was no difference related to the material

because the curriculum used in MTs Antasari samarinda was KTSP,

For the preparation, the discussion shows that the teacher does

prepare quite well, they make lesson plan in every beginning of academic

year. It will affect to the teaching-learning activity. Then the method, the

teachers used methods and a procedure for teaching at MTs Antasari

Samarinda. The methods used by teacher mostly were audio-lingual And

the procedure was PPP (Presentation, Practice, Production). For

feedback, the teacher in MTs Antasari Samarinda used several ways to

give a feedback to the students. The teacher assessed the students’

progress by giving a frequent test (Quiz) and they used direct method in

assessing the students. For correction, the teacher used the oral and

written correction for evaluating the students’ understanding towards the

material every meeting. Those how the teacher gave the feedback to the

students.

The teacher in MTs Antasari Samarinda did not use a specific book

in class, the teachedr use several books as his and her references and

delivered the summary of specific material from many books to the

students in the class. In order to support the teaching process, the teacher

in MTs Antasari Samarinda used media to provide a better material to the

students for the listening. She used He used CD player in listening

activities. For teaching vocabulary, the teacher used a media called

drawing paper.

B. Suggestion

The researcher saw several things that actually can be better.

Therefore, the researcher gives some suggestion to the teacher, the school,

the government, and the next researcher. For the teacher, the researcher

suggests to make some improvement in using media, media usage should

be increased as well. If it possible, please provide more media in teaching

so the teacher can use any kind of media to increase the understanding of

the material, because we cannot use one media in every material. And

also, please use more methodology in teaching English, so the students

will not feel bored with only one method in every materials.

For the school, there is no suggestion for the school, keep it hope

everything has been reached, and keep developing the management of

MTs Antasari. The researcher realized that this research is not giving

much contribution to the school. Therefore the researcher believes that it

will be so useful if there another researcher who conducts the research

with the same research methodology in MTs Antasari Samarinda.
